These are a wedding gift for soon-to-be newlyweds in Tel Aviv. Translated (I think): "From the home of Elinor and Eran". Their dog, Uma, is the silhouette!

Hello Monday!

August has been quite a lovely little month for me! The beginning of the month was beach lounging and porch swinging in Georgia and South Carolina. Then last week I crossed the map to Vegas and L.A. for a much faster-paced trip. Now I'm home with many projects stacked up! I started today with a simple one and I think it turned out so cute! Packs of 12 for sale soon!

RIDE A BIKE why doncha?

This lil (poster-sized) beauty is hanging on the wall of The Bikery in Stillwater following the (really fun) Local/Euro show last Saturday. I think I'll throw a couple of them (along with the citrus yellow and orange/red colorways) onto my non-existant Etsy page soon..........later.

Well

I have no paper goods to show for myself from the last month! Been doing a lot of designing and not much printing... BUT that's going to change when, this week, loads and loads and loads of plates and paper will be delivered for a few projects that have been stacking up. Much more to come soon! Including (but not limited to) a bike poster for a show in Stillwater later in the month, and Elyse Olson's art deco-inspired wedding invites.

What I HAVE been doing is cooking. Went to the St. Paul Farmers' Market this weekend and bought too many fruits and too many vegetables. I made these Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar. Delish!


1 qt. strawberries, hulled. 1/4 cup white sugar. 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar. Mix all together and let set for 10 minutes.

has an image database that is astounding! I'm working up ideas for Art Deco inspired wedding invites and am feeling inspired after perusing these thousands of images. The sun is finally out - I need to tear myself away!

Erin's Pretty Invites

After four straight days of printing, I have emerged from the depths of my "studio" with a lovely, finished wedding package for my friend, Erin. Since she and James are getting hitched in August in the woods, I thought it would be fun to create a sort of "I Spy" invite with lots of creatures hiding behind the trees. We both agreed to do handwritten text and I think it turned out so sweet! I am really pleased and am hoping she'll love it! Dang! I meant to clip a picture of the mad-lib reply card... will do later. So cute!!

Lucky Erin is having Emily of Queen Quills calligraphy address the envelopes. I can't wait to see!
